Hi Carl, I have by new bike dialed in and finally getting some good rides now that the weather is cooperating. I wrote a quick review and included a few photos. I know you like field shots with sweat and road grime on the thing, these iPhone photos qualify.
Now that I’ve ridden my new gravel road bike about a dozen times and over 20,000 vertical feet of climbing I got to say, Carl you nailed it! The frame geometry is spot on. A slacker head angle and lower bottom bracket make this very comfortable and stable. The large diameter tubing makes it amazingly stiff with gobs of power transfer. Zero flex when standing and mashing out of the saddle. Love how it rolls over all the chip seal, pot holes, cracks, and gravel on our mountain roads. Soon our trails will be dry enough to really put it through the paces.
The Enve CX fork is everything I expected. Very precise steering and just enough flex to smooth out the rough roads. I’m running sintered metallic brake pads which definitely add confidence on so many long descents. Every time I leave the house I start my ride with a thousand feet of elevation gain or more.
Overall I say this machine is what an all-road bike should be; Fun, versatile, efficient, and sexy.
Best regards,
Steve
