True Temper S3 Ultralite Steel Frame Carl built me this frame over the course of a couple of months early in 2007 and I have to say that after buying several other custom bikes over the years, working with Carl and the result I got was by far the best experience of them all. Always ready to discuss your needs (and wants), always making sensible suggestions and alternatives and always keeping you in mind as the bike rider and customer. You get a few dealers and builders who are good at some of these things, but Carl has them all down. And above all he is a gentleman. His workmanship is superb. I was lucky enough to see a few shots of my frame raw, at the NAHBS and the welds were beautiful. No one does TIG welds better IMHO. The powder coat from Spectrum too, was superb and finished the bike perfectly. I don’t get too excited about much these days, too many let downs in the past have wised me up to getting your hopes up, but a soon as I saw the frame, I was a Cheshire cat with a tub of cream. Once built up, I moved the seat down about 3mm and that was it. The frame was that close to what I had asked for and what I wanted. Carl absolutely nailed it. Many thanks.
