After a 15-year racing career, Montana-based Carl Strong spends his days whipping up some of the finest custom-made bikes on the planet-mountain bikes, road racers, etc. He made this road bike for easily corrupted Maxim staffer Chris Connolly. After an hour phone conversation to go over the fine points, Strong made the steel frame in four weeks, all to match Connolly’s plus-size body. Our guy then picked the components off a menu, like ordering sushi. All this for no more than a high-end factory-made model.
